🛡️ Child Safety Officer (CSO)
At Warragul District Amateur Basketball Association, the safety and wellbeing of every child in our basketball community is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all young participants, free from abuse, bullying, or harm.
To ensure this commitment is upheld, we have appointed a Child Safety Officer (CSO) who acts as the main point of contact for any child safety matters within our Association.
👤 Who is the Child Safety Officer?
Our CSO is a dedicated member of our team who has received appropriate training to manage and respond to child safety concerns. They are approachable, trustworthy, and equipped to provide guidance, support, and direction regarding any concerns related to child protection or wellbeing.

📝 Reporting a Concern
If a child is at immediate risk of harm, always call 000 first.
For all other concerns — no matter how small they may seem — we encourage you to speak to our CSO or email them in confidence. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled respectfully, fairly, and in line with our child protection procedures.
🧭 Our Commitment
We follow the Victorian Child Safe Standards and support the rights of all children to feel safe, respected, and empowered. All staff, coaches, and volunteers are required to undergo Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and regular training.
