Final playing conditions are subject to ratification by the WBA Board prior to season launch. The competition will be modelled on the existing Senior Domestic Playing Conditions, with the following amendments specific to mixed play.

1 — Team Composition

• 5 players on court at all times.
• Minimum 2 female players on court; maximum 3 male players.
• If the female minimum isn't met, the opposing team receives 1 point per minute until compliance is restored.
• Substitutions must maintain the required gender balance at all times.

2 — Keyway Restriction

• Male players may not enter the keyway on offence or defence at any time.
• Incidental entry due to momentum (e.g. following a rebound attempt) may be permitted at the referee's discretion.
• Repeated or intentional breaches = violation and turnover.

3 — Possession Requirement

• A female player must touch the ball in the front court before any shot attempt.
• Failure to do so = violation and turnover to the opposing team.

4 — 12-Point Team Balance Rule

• Each player may score up to 12 points until all teammates have also reached 12.
• Once every player on the team reaches 12, all may score without restriction.
• Baskets scored by a player already at 12 are disallowed; play resumes with a sideline throw-in to the opposition.
• If a capped player is fouled, a teammate on court must be nominated to shoot the free throws.

5 — Contact & Physicality

• Reduced tolerance applied to physical contact involving female players.
• Referees are instructed to prioritise safety and fairness in all matchups.
• Excessive or mismatched contact penalised immediately, regardless of advantage.

6 — Fast Break Restriction

• On a change of possession, male players must not advance ahead of the ball into the keyway.
• Intended to prevent unfair transition advantages.
• Breaches = turnover.

7 — Game Format

• 2 × 20-minute halves, running clock.
• Clock stops in the final 2 minutes of the 2nd half if the margin is ≤ 10 points.

8 — Substitutions

• Permitted at any stoppage of play.
• Rolling substitutions may be used where applicable.
• Gender balance requirements must be maintained at all times during substitutions.

9 — Finals (Pending Board Ratification)

• Keyway restriction and team composition rules retained for finals.
• Possession requirement rule may be removed at the competition administrator's discretion.
