Scoretable Officials
Partner with referees to officiate the game, earn money sitting courtside, and progress through a nationally recognised accreditation pathway.
Get InvolvedBecoming a Scoretable Official
Being a Scoretable Official is a great way to be involved in basketball outside of coaching, playing and refereeing — while learning and appreciating more about the game.
What Do They Do?
A Scoretable Official works in partnership with referees to officiate the match and communicate the progress of the game. It's a hands-on role that keeps you right in the middle of the action.
Why Get Involved?
It's fun, you meet lots of people with similar interests, and it's an opportunity to earn money. Some games require scorers voluntarily — which comes with the best seat in the stadium, sitting courtside.
Step OneHow to Get Started
Complete the online Level 1 Scoretable Course on the Basketball Australia eTrainU platform. Once qualified, senior Scoretable Officials at your home association will guide you through on-game practical training and evaluate you in each role across the season.
