The 2026 Winter Senior Domestic Season is now underway — but it's not too late to get on the court! If you're keen to play, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you have a full team ready to go, a few players looking to fill out a side, or you're an individual wanting to slot into an existing squad, WBA Operations will work with you to find the right fit across our Mens and Womens grades.
How It WorksFixtures & Grading
Fixture Release
Fixtures are released 24 hours prior to game day. Keep an eye on the WBA website and your team's communication channels for updates.
Grading System New
All teams played two mini-games (30 minutes each) against different opponents across the first 3 rounds — giving the Association maximum data to build balanced, competitive draws. There was no week off for grading.
Player Registration
All players must be registered before taking the court. Unregistered players are not eligible to play — make sure your full squad is signed up ahead of your next game.
Finals Format
The top 4 teams from each division at the end of the regular season will progress to a 2-round finals series, culminating in the Grand Final to crown the season champions.
2026 — New PolicyBehavioural Management Framework New
The WBA has introduced a formal Behavioural Management Framework for Winter 2026 across both Junior and Senior competitions. Our goal is a safe, respectful environment for every player, coach, official, and spectator.
Player & Coach Ejections
Any player or coach who receives a behavioural technical foul and is ejected from a game will receive an automatic one-game suspension, effective from the following round.
Spectator Warning Cards
Spectators who are abusive toward game officials will be issued a formal warning card — the first step in a clear, consistent escalation process.
Escalation & Venue Ejection
If abusive behaviour continues after a warning card, a team/bench technical foul will be awarded, followed by ejection from the venue if the behaviour does not cease.
ImportantPlaying Conditions
The 2026 Senior Domestic Playing Conditions have been ratified by the Association Board and are available for download below. All players, coaches, and team officials are encouraged to review the document — it sets out the full competition rules, on-court regulations, and behavioural expectations for the season.
